Family Islands’ International Airports
The Government of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas is focused on the development of sustainable aviation infrastructure for several Family Island airports. It is seeking experienced and qualified public/private sector partners to design, build, finance, operate, maintain, and develop the Family Island International Airports to upgrade/replace facilities, generate traffic, grow revenue, and further enhance the quality of service at the airport sites.

Request for Pre-Qualifications (RFpQ) Open
MARCH 1, 2023
Operators and developers will be able to submit their request for qualifications. Questions can be submitted to P3Airports@Bahamas.com until March 30th and will receive responses by April 15th.
Request for Pre-Qualifications (RFpQ) Updates
EXTENDED to APRIL 30, 2023
Request for Pre-Qualifications (RFpQ) submission portal will be closed at 11:59 pm local Nassau time. All submissions will be reviewed by the Evaluation Committee. Shortlist will be provided to the Deputy Prime Minister for approval.
ADDENDUM 0.01
In accordance with Section 3.2 (3) of the Procurement Timelines, the Government in its sole discretion has extended the Bahamas Family Islands Airports RFpQ submission deadline to April 30, 2023. Inquiries may be sent to p3airports@bahamas.com
Shortlist Announcement & Release of Request for Proposals (RFP)
MAY 2023
Shortlisted candidates will be contacted and informed that they are eligible to advance to the RFP stage of the process. The Department of Aviation will issue a statement to the market and bidders of the outcome.
Request for Proposals (RFP) Submission Deadline
JUNE 2023
Deadline for shortlisted candidates to submit their proposals. All submissions will be reviewed by the Evaluation Committee.
Preferred Proponent Selection Announcement
JULY 2023
The Department of Aviation will notify the successful and unsuccessful candidates. Additionally, they will issue a statement to the other shortlisted candidates and market of the outcome of the RFP.
